Customer Service Policy

A project is commenced after a customer contacts Canadian Map Makers about one of our services. Canadian Map Makers will then assess the scope of the project and provide to the customer a project proposal and ballpark costing and project schedule. This shall be provided free of charge. If this is accepted by the customer, a project contract will be created by Canadian Map Makers. The signing of this contract by the customer and Canadian Map Makers constitutes a mutual agreement between the two parties, and provides consent for Canadian Map Makers to commence the work and to invoice the customer according to the invoicing schedule contained within the contract.

The terms of the invoicing will vary from project to project. In the majority of cases, work will be charged on a project basis and not on an hourly basis. Hourly rates will more likely be charged in cases where work is done by Canadian Map Makers on an ongoing basis, with no clear definition of an overall project scope.

Full payment will usually be required before delivery of the completed deliverables to the Customer. In some cases, a deposit may be required to cover expenses incurred by Canadian Map Makers in connection with the completion of the project.

Project sign off (by the customer) constitutes acceptance by the customer that the work carried out by Canadian Map Makers is acceptable, and that payment will be required to secure final delivery of the project deliverables. Any printed materials are guaranteed by Canadian Map Makers for any defects that were not evident in the sign off materials, and Canadian Map Makers will endeavour to correct such defects at their own expense.

Canadian Map Makers accepts payment by cheque, cash, or online by PayPal (which accepts all major credit cards). Canadian Map Makers has a policy of quoting prices inclusive of any applicable taxes, so the price you see is the price you pay.

As part of the quotation process, Canadian Map Makers will require you to submit your Email address, and (optionally) other personal information. This information will be stored securely by Canadian Map Makers. To maintain your privacy, this information will not be passed onto any other parties without your express permission. By default, registering your Email address with Canadian Map Makers will mean that you will occasionally be sent product information, promotional material, and other special offers.
